We collect as little as we possibly can.
Munus is built by NOMOS Industries. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we will never do. It is written to be read, not to protect us.
What we collect
- Account information. Name, email, and household role (parent or teen). Used to create your household and sign you in.
- Household content. The responsibilities, munera, privileges, and schedules you create. Stored so the app works.
- Completion photos. Captured in-app to verify work. See below.
- Anonymous product analytics. Which features are used, and crash reports. Never sold, never tied to advertising.
What we never collect
- Location. Munus does not track where anyone is. (A future opt-in feature may verify a specific task like a dog walk, only with explicit consent, only for that task's duration.)
- Messages, browsing history, screen time, or app usage outside Munus.
- Contacts, photos from the camera roll, or any file you did not deliberately create in the app.
Photos
Photos are captured in the app only — Munus cannot access your photo library. When a teen completes a task with a photo, it is stored encrypted and shown to the parent. The parent then deletes it (the default) or keeps it. Any photo not viewed within 14 days is deleted automatically. The record that the task was completed is permanent; the image is not.
Who can see your data
Only members of your household. Data is protected by row-level security — no other household, and no unauthorized process, can read it. We do not sell, license, or share personal data with anyone, for any purpose, including advertising.
Children
Munus is intended for teens aged 13 and older, and their parents. Teen accounts are created within a household by a parent. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account from within the app at any time. Deleting a household permanently removes its members, tasks, completions, and stored photos from our systems.
Service providers
We use Supabase (data storage), Apple (payments and push notifications), RevenueCat (subscription management), Sentry (crash reporting), and PostHog (anonymous analytics). Each processes data only to make the app function.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
