What Munus will never do.

The restraint is the product. Every one of these was a decision, and none of them are up for negotiation.

04 · Research Why we built it this way The research behind choice and contribution.

Why it works this way

Choice and contribution, not closer monitoring.

Research with younger children points in the same direction. Parents who offered meaningful choices had children with stronger planning and self-control skills. Children who took part in self-care and family-care chores also showed stronger working memory and inhibition. These studies found associations, not proof of cause, and neither focused specifically on teenagers.
